Default Battery Woes!

Hello, thanks for your help! I have a 98 LS that has a battery less than a week old. I let the car sit outside in -4 to a balmy 14 degrees the last three days. Yesterday morning no power at all. I charged the battery fine and it tested fine. It sat over night and then didn't have enough juice to get her started! When it's warm say above freezing it started and ran fine! Any thoughts on what's draining the battery?

Welcome!
It might help if we knew the reason that you replaced the last battery. Maybe the same issue is still present? (parasitic drain). Maybe you never really fully charged the battery. Maybe the battery is too small for this application. Maybe it is defective (it happens). Connections clean?

I am not sure how you would know it works fine when above freezing with that battery because it has been below freezing here in Indiana for about the past week.

If a weakness is going to surface with the battery/charging system it is usually during winter. Cold weather is brutal on batteries.

I replaced the battery after having the car for about six months. It was winter when I bought the car and it was not a problem. It was a mild winter that year. The original battery was replaced as part of getting the car at a service level I knew an was comfortable with. A new timing belt service, belt, strut brace bushings. Last winter she was side lined with a failed starter. Replaced it with new one along with a new radiator and hoses, spark plugs. The car has performed well till it got really cold here! The newest battery went in last Tuesday. Drove fine all week till I parked it and set the alarm/locked the car.
