Needed Instrument Cluster
Hi my name is Dane, I have used the info on this forum many times to work on my 1uz Supra and the many Lexus I've owned. My 93 LS400 gauge cluster isn't lighting up. Maybe a bad capacitor, I don't know, but I do know I'm no good with soldering and electrical. 93 or 94 year instrument cluster around 194,000 miles shipped to 83646. I already bought one from the yard but it has about 300k miles on it. I'm trying to sell my Lexus and I believe the high mileage on the new cluster is scaring buyers off. Anyone have one? I have paypal, Thanks.

i believe there are some repair services you can ship it out and have them replace the capacitors, im having he same problem and i heard it was very common on the ls400. if you send it out for repair maybe you could the old cluster with the more accurate milage. thats of course if you still have the original cluster.

Get on The Google and search "Lexus LS400 Instrument Cluster Repair" and find places that offer repair.
You can also try the same search on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_kw=L...Cluster+Repair

You can either send the cluster you bought in to us for odometer correction or your original for repair.

Thanks guys for pointing me in the right direction. I talked to Tanin Auto Electronix today about repairing the original one and about odometer correction. They told me an odometer correction would be cheaper opposed to replacing the caps. So I just shipped out my working, high mileage cluster.
