Default springs for me

I personally have tein lowering springs on kyb shocks 1.5 front and 1.3 lowering in the rear I recently installed megan rca and lowered the front about another inch or 1.5 and it looks great I have it on some Maserati birdcage 20s the ride is awesome like stock but more aggressive cornering with that being said I just installed some megan coilovers and I honestly don't like the ride it's too stiff and hard. I live in chicago and we have some really bad streets here so my car rides like a civic now lucky I was just testing the Megan coils (my cousins set) so I will be going back to my lowering springs 99 lexus gs300 on lowering springs plus rca on the front for my Ls calipers

You may not need to replace your coils. They usually hold up. My 98 LS400 needs new struts and strut mounts. The ride is bouncy. Dealer said to replace struts.

The Tirerack has a great price on the correct H&R spring for a UCF-10 , so I went that route.
i am pairing them with Tokico Blues. This old LS is at 310,000 miles so the original springs are no longer capable of controlling the struts. Streets in Dallas are currently horrific so I had no real desire for the 1" lowering aspect of the swap.

As everyone else has said, you cant really get the best of both worlds. The stock ride is so soft that any real mods to the suspension will really kill it. Im now on XYZ RACING COILS.. Set to soft, its perfectly comfortable. Hard is super stiff and not much fun. On the other hand, I have driven some great sports cars and the ls400 DOES hold its own around the mountains here. Its great fun to roar into corners with. I enjoy it and would not go back, but I do miss the cushy nonsense.
