Can I use super tech carb/air intake on throttle body?
I run the risk of sounding stupid asking this, but can I use super tech carb & air intake cleaner to clean my throttle body? I was in wally world and I didn't see nothing with "throttle body cleaner" on it. I ask because I was reading that some newer cars have Teflon coating inside the "tb" to make the air flow faster, and carb cleaner could strip this coating due to how potent it is over throttle body cleaner. Prolly doesn't apply to our cars but I just want to be sure its safe before I use it. Btw I plan to spray the cleaner on a rag and a toothbrush and clean the TB with it still on the car.

Thanks for the replies. I ended up removing the throttle body and cleaning it and the air intake manifold best I could. The "TB" was pretty gunked up as was the air manifold, hopefully I notice an improvement.
Before I started cleaning.
After I cleaned. I think I forgot to take a pic of the TB, but its very clean now and I didnt have to use a screw driver that much.
I really wanted to remove this top part to clean it but it would have been a lot more work involved, I think I would have to drain the coolant and remove water inlet. Definitely next time I will get to it. Anybody know a way to clean the air chamber with it still on the car???
