Trac light flashing after I cleaned throttle body
Hey guys I need help. I remove and clean my throttle body. I made sure to not spray any electronics. Installed everything correctly to my knowledge but I will recheck everything. Before I cranked the engine, I turned the ignition to the ON position and immediately I heard a clicking noise from top of the engine lasted about 5-6 secs and the Trac light was flashing before I cranked the engine too. Once the clicking stop, I crank the engine and everything sounded fine but trac light still flashing.
I did make adjustments to the transmission cable via the adjustment nuts, it was about an inch from the stopper. Does this look correct?
Also I did remove this part and put it back. Would this have something to with the track?
I know after u clean a TB, the car might mis behave a little on initial start up. Is this normal or should I look for the cause of this?

Don't worry. I think you simply didn't follow the instruction. The ECU needs about 20 seconds to do the start-up internal reset for the traction control system. Did you wait until the light turns off when you first twist the key at run(on) position?
Try again to start the engine waiting about 20 seconds at "run" position and then twist more to start.

No I did not wait for the trac light to stop flashing before I cranked the engine. I think I get what you're saying, just turn the key to the ON position then wait for the trac light to STOP flashing then crank the engine. I will do and report back. Thanks, the knowledge on this forum never ceases to amaze me.

P1401 check light on trac light flashing
Okay before I went for a test drive the engine light was on. I went to AutoZone and scanner read P1401 definition sub TP sensor range/performance. The part is not that expensive.
When I was removing the throttle body I did unscrew and remove the TPS(white sensor I believe). Question, when installing a TPS, is there a certian way to install it? I just screwed it back on the TB and hope it was done correctly, or should I get a new TPS?
Also when I turn the key to on position, I still hear that clicking noise from top of engine.

Its fixed NO check engine light
Okay I manage to figure everything out, two mistakes I made.
1. When removing the TB do NOT remove the TPS(s), just disconnect them.
2. I did remove the white colored TPS which controls the trac, but you must manually push the throttle plate up with your hand to close it and then install the TPS. I didn't do this the first time.
End result NO trac light or check engine light, and there was no clicking when turned the ignition to ON. Man I really felt stupid. Anyway I use this site as a guide even tho its for SCs.http://soarercentral.com/sc-forum/me...739/33074.html
