Great comment. I always thought my '94 suspension was a bit "harsh" or abrupt over bumps, even with new tires. But I had never driven or ridden in any other LS400, so I thought that was normal. That is until I rode with my neighbor in his '96. What a difference!!! That car had much more damping/isolation ability than mine. I can't say for sure if the newer design of the '96 made the difference, if it was because of my aging suspension, or a combination of both. But I can say that if I had kept my car, suspension was the next item on the list to address. It was beginning to make the dreaded popping noise in the front, and would just about bottom-out in the rear when I drove over a dip in the road with two adults in the back seat. Definitely struts, ball-joints and bushings were in order. Not sure if it would have ridden as well as the '96, but it would have certainly made a difference.
