1999 LS400 TRANSPONDER Doesnt Work AFTER CHANGING TRUNK LID STRUTS!
changed out the gas shocks on my trunk lid. replaced mat/shell. went to open trunk with transponder - NOTHING! no beep/no open. same for the doors. everything is on manual. the little red light on the transponder flashes when depressing buttons. also tested second transponder key. same problem.HELP!!!

Didn't you damage the wiring from the door sensor switch while doing the job?

Problem solved!
#10 FUSE REPLACEMENT > ENGINE COMPARTMENT > DOME LIGHT 
figured it out after noticing that the interior lights (overhead/vanities/rear sides) werent turning on at all
