Should I keep my LS???
Hey guys......I cracked my front kit last weekend(just got it fix 2 weeks ago!!! ) And I don't want to spend anymore money on my 173,000 miles old lady to get her fix.......The car still runs great and the transmission is still very smooth.......There are three things that I don't like about this car so I think I should get a new car 1)Some rattles and sqeaky noise 2)This car is very slow 3)The front breaks sqeak like crazy. But there are also couple things that make me want to keep the car 1)The stereo system 2)The car looks great.....caught many people's eyes.......What should I do guys??? I want to get an used GS430 or used 2002 Q45....

Sorry to hear about your situation kenjitsou. If you really don't want to fix your car, get a used GS430. You can easily transfer your stereo system over to the GS430. A fixed up GS430 will get a lot of attention too. I'm sure it will have no squeaks and will be a whole lot quicker than the LS400.
But how about a used 3rd-generation LS400 or even a 2001 LS430? Either of those VIP'd would be tight.
Good luck on your choice.

keep the LS, and get something newer. i want to keep my ES even when i get my new car, it will just be a fun toy to have. and our lexus are not like a ...( i wont name car names, but you know which ones i mean), which is an "appliance" (my dad says that) and can last you for quite some time, not just a throw away car.
if you've had it this long, keep it til it can't be driven anymore *might be a while longer though...

But, Please put me on your "waiting lists" for those wheels on your car !! How much are you willing to sell them for?

I would look into newer LS. Personally, whatever you do to a GS of any kind, it does not have as much presence as moded LS on the road. Q45 looks a little ugly but that is just me. I was about to get a GS400 but decided to keep my car. For some reason 1st gen LS still looks best to me.
