the KYB/H&R combo will feel better, but less ship-like.
That makes a ton of sense now that I think about it considering the GR-2's are more of an OEM replacement. Thanks for the input

in this post was the initial shot with the stock wheels taken before you cut the springs? is that what i should expect after putting the H&R's on? people have said that the H&R's run raked, does that mean it'll be a bit lower in the front? i kinda want the same height front and rear
Yes, that is correct. The initial picture with the stock wheels are of when I had the H&R springs installed with KYB struts. That was before I cut the rear springs down.

I know your thread was about a particular setup but I just wanted to know if any of you have experience with these touring tech shocks and struts, don't have all the money for the ones I want right now, just want to know if these are a safe gamble for at least a couple months while I save up.

these are cheaply made crap.

I would rather have blown OEM shocks than them. Definitely keep the OEM springs over those.

Kind of figured....what brand do you recommend that aren't too expensive but are good quality. I saw some Megan EZ coilovers for about 650-700. Should I just grab those or do you have another recommendation?

So, what is the final verdict, friends?

H&R + KYB or H&R + Bilstein for slightly firmer luxury car ride ..... not sports sedan ride. Mainly for better looks and more responsive when cornering on highways.

put the LS on top of the NSX so you still get the Ayrton Senna developed, McLaren F1 inspiring handling and usability but with the comfort and lavishness of the LS

lol idk it's up to you, the KYBs will be a bit softer and the Bilsteins will be a bit stiffer. i'd say go with the KYBs because the bilsteins are german and german automakers think every car needs to be able to do 250 mph on the autobahn FOR VUN SOUSAND YEARS and corner with minimal body roll so the bilsteins will be stiffer and less comfortable. most mercedes audis and bmws all tend to ride more firmly, even the seats tend to be stiffer. the KYBs are what the car came with so i feel they'll be better for the overall dynamics, but if you also want better highway handling getting wheels with slightly lower profile tires will help too

So those running KYB and H&R, I am assuming the car does not bottom out as it it is only 1" lower?

TR has all the parts - http://www.tirerack.com/suspension/S...0&autoModClar=

If adding shocks and springs to the cart in TR, comes to $627 with free shipping

Also, what camber kit would you recommend?

UPDATE: Spoke to TR, they do not recommend H&R and KYB but do recommend Bilsteins. They said KYBs will blow prematurely on lowering springs, even mild lowering .........

That's funny I have KYB GR-2s on Eibach springs and never heard anyone mention them blowing prematurely. Maybe they were talking about the Excels.

TR shows GR2 and Excel to be the same product.

1-1.5" drop won't kill the shocks too quickly at all (especially not the bilsteins).

the Tanabe and other 2"+ springs will.
