Are there any guides on how to get to that area? Someone mentioned earlier you have to remove the valve cover and bearing cap? Wasn't able to find much on the bearing cap removal...

You don't need to remove the cams to replace the filter but you do need to remove the valve cover and and the front bearing cap at the very least. I say this because I have personally done it myself. I changed out the camshaft seals and put everything back together but broke one of the bolts of in the camshaft pulley. I had to take the front bearing cap back off to get the broken bolt out the back of the pulley.

From the looks of it, the valve cover on the left side seems to be fairly easy to remove? How hard was it to remove the bearing cap? I'm not sure if anything is obstructing it or how easy it is to get to the bolts.

I can't remember exactly but now that I think about it Billy was correct. I would only change the filter if you were doing the timing belt since it does have to come off. I apologize I had to take the bearing cap off but I also had to take the belt back off to do it. You can clean the OCV but that didn't work for me. I replaced it and the code went away for good.

Alright. I'll give cleaning a try, just to see if it helps. If not, I'll order a new one.

Thanks for the help.

Welp, tried cleaning the OCV today...washed out a good amount of sludge/gunk out of with carb cleaner, but CEL came on after like 10 miles.

Going to order a new one and keep my fingers crossed hoping that fixes it.

did you spray and clean the CHAMBER also??

Hm, no. I didn't do that. Didn't think it was safe to spray carb cleaner in there?

I cleared the CEL today once again (had to disconnect battery while working on something) and drove about 40 miles and it hasn't come on yet. It's going to paintshop tomorrow...if it turns on, then I'll try spraying the chamber as well - and change oil after that.
