Default LCD repair for stereo

One of the most common problem on the ls400 stereo is the burnt out LCD screen/ broken digit/ hiergraphy readings, instead of replacing the whole LCD strip which cost $145 has any one try to do a quick repair like the attachment?

The method you introduced is effective when the tab is not properly connected and some dots are missing. In case the LCD is totally dark or clear, you can't fix it without replacing the LCD panel except the common line's problem. Is your LCD problem only missing dots?

Hi yamae, yes my display is missing line making full numbers, and the sad thing is I replaced the LCD display with a new one 2 years ago, I don't think applying heat with pressure like the attachment method I attached will work but I'll give it a try. Otherwise only option is you new what, but a new LCD display

Over the weekend I took out LCD and applied heat etc. and see if any connection were bad. I'm sad to report this does not work, unfortunately a new LCD from pioneer is the only route
