Will older stereo fit 98-00 ls400

Hi everyone can anyone verify or confirm that older model ls400 stereo is compatabile with the 98-00 year?

i believe that the oldest model you can use is a 95-97 unit and it has to be the same, pioneer to pioneer and nak to nak.
