It has to be a gen 1 with that code. Possible right bank cam position sensor. Wire connections, broke wire etc. and can't rule out the ecu either.

I'm going by what 13 is on this site, haven't gone to the books.

it's missing out under hard acceleration sometimes. When you start the engine it take the light 3seconds to come on. The engine idles as smooth as silk. and is fine under normal acceleration

check this out: Code 13 is a crank/cam corelation code. It basically detects if the engine is running in time or not. Take a CLOSE look at the cam sensor wire on the driver side, the clip that holds the wire to the timing cover outside the engine loves to break on this and thus allowing the cam sensor wire to rub against the accessory drive belt. Other 2 causes would be:
1- timing belt off time.
2- one of the 2 cam sensors is defective.
ALSO found this: I know another code 13 problem, I've done an extensive search, and a lot of research via the web and mitchelle on demand. Anywho, I got a 94 LS400, check engine light has been on ever since I bought it about 4 years ago. Engine runs very strong, no misses, no vibration just this code 13, I have access to mitchelle and did a search on this code 13, rpm signal, camshaft. I talked to a friend that's a tech, and he said even if its off a tooth, these engines run so strong you wouldn't feel anything, I suspect it has something to do with the cam sensor. But here's the thing, when I first start up my car, there is no check engine light, about 3 seconds later the check engine light will come on. Now if I were to start up my car, the give it some gas 1000rpm and up, no check engine light, if I were to throw it into gear and drive off, no check engine light. The moment the rpm drops to idle, check engine light....

This is great information Thanks so much. I will be happy if the problem lies up top under cam covers or in the front of the drivers side cover as you have mentioned. If its the timing belt being off, well I just went thru putting the new belt on myself and won't do it again. This 93 LS only has 69,000 on it so I think its going to the dealer for repair if it is.
