Default Anyone know where to find one of these?

I ventured into the instrument cluster and was wondering if anyone knows where to buy single speedometer or tachometer needles? New or used, doesn't matter, of course functioning, a must. Salvage yards or electronics websites?

Photo is of the speedometer guage, lenth of the needle is about 69mm and diameter is about 2.5mm. Cluster works fine otherwise.

Thanks,
Steve

You can probally find one here:

http://www.lexusdash.com/default.shtml

Is the needle not lighting up or is it not moving? If it is not moving you may have a different problem that is common on 1st gen lexus.

Thanks for your reply. I made contact with the company and they estimated $500 for one needle. I think I will drive around with a toothpick painted white before I spend $500 for a lightbulb. I am working with another member on this forum to try and locate CFL replacement bulbs. I'm determined that there is someone out there that makes something that will work.

$500 that is insane. The whole thing only cost $1000 from the dealer.

2 or 3 months ago someone posted similar question. There is a part number for this thing in that thread. Ask {-.-} he is in Japan and may send you this needle. As far as I remeber it cost no more than 40 bucks.

Question Purchasing a speedometer needle

Can the speedometer needle for a 94 LS 400 be purchased, and if so where and for how much?

Drop a PM to member onelasttry, or look around the forums (jncluding the Lighting forum) for his threads. He's an electrical engineer who's been developing a method to replace the micro-LED's on those pointers.
