I paid $2900 for mine. The thread I started about being under the hood has pics. The low idle problem is no big deal and really is cheap if the ecu is the culprit. That one in Texas that is posted above is really nice. I did not see one that clean here in ATL. I heard Texas was the place to look for them. In the day if you lived in Dallas you had a LS400 and a suburban sitting in your garage in the country club.

Like I and others have said, unlikely to find one in this area, especially for $4K.

I have looked hard for a '98-'00, but decided to check out this reputedly well-maintained, strong cosmetics '91 with 130K on it.

Asking price was $5K.

It was almost everything the owner said it was...it did drive great and the body/paint was maybe a 8 out of 10. Had new Pirelli's on aftermarket wheels.

On the phone before I came over I said my max was $4K. He said he would sell it for $4500.

I texted him 2X the next day with an offer of $4100, but after being great at responding previously, he has not answered my texts and the car is now off craigslist.

So the search continues.

I bought my '98, two-owner, 132k mile creampuff from Ft Worth - off this site - at $5,800.

Flew there and drove it back to FL - nice min-vacay.

You bought this one here in LA, right? I was tempted to buy it, but it has the air suspension which scared me. Very expensive to fix unless you do the conversion. Looks great though!

If you're willing to make the trek out to CA, you can find some good ones out here. They sell fast when they're priced right and well maintained.
