Anyone have a pic of the Low Beam cannon plug/connectors on a 95-97?
So... I'm sick of running with single headlight for over 4 years now. HIDs constantly failing after a month or two.
I'm switching to LEDs. Tired of the ballast crap.
Does anyone have a pic of the low beam plug on the harness side for a 95-97? I believe the PO destroyed mine. Not ready to pull off the tape and look under, but here's what I got.
I believe my high beams and fogs are untouched... Although I am trying to figure out how the body shop installed H4 bulbs into my fogs...

ummm you just took a pic of it right there! the OEM harness has 3 wires in it the third being for the integrated high beam since H4 is a dual low/hi bulb. since you are adding an aftermarket LED kit (which still uses ballasts btw), it will only require two wires as shown on the left of the picture for low beam only. ground is black .
and fogs for a 95-97 model takes 9006 bulbs...

Hmm.. Thanks. Just figured mine was some jerry rigged connectors, not used to the look of a h4 connector and all the tape.
I guess I'll be fine just plugging em in and going to town.
As for ballasts, I contacted VLEDS regarding that and this is what they had to say:
"Our LMZ LED headlight system comes with a small light weight external driver box.
Having an external drive box eliminates any issues of getting hot from the LED bulb itself.
Our LMZ LED Driver Box actually limits and regulates voltage going to the LED Headlight bulb; in no way does it have any components like an HID ballast."

the LEDs in the market are complete crap and produce as worse a glare as HIDs in a halogen housing. Additionally, the ones that are anything that resemble reasonably bright are NOT what you'd call...reliable.
Your best bet is to either stick to halogens or do a complete retrofit.
Read up on HIDPlanet or similar lighting forums for more sad news about current LED offerings. They will fail, the pattern does suck.
