1992 LS400 factory camber adjustment
#18
Explain how a person would UNROLL THE FENDERS? Fronts could be replaced, but the only way to fix the rears is to replace the whole body. And then have the factory repaint it all with the original from 1992 paints. And since there are no new bodies for Gen 1 's coming out of the Lexus plant nor the paint, nor would the factory do the paint for ya. It is trashed.

So rolled fenders mean it's trashed? I don't understand that logic. If they look the same on the outside but tucked in the inside means trashed then your car must be mint.
It's 24 years old. Has zero collectibility and will most likely get driven for a few more years before upkeep and repairs exceed value and ends up either a parts car or passed on to someone that really trashes it. But we all have our opinions and that's just fine.

All cars and trucks have potential collectivity. No one ever thought a super bird would be a collector car, or a 55 chevy, or a 57 Cadillac Eldorado I knew a guy that had one and trailered cars behind it years ago mid 60's, yeah trashed it good, now big dollar items. Just like the old corvette I got as a youngster for about a thousand bucks, real nice body and paint all original, now it would be over 50K. Keep trashing the Ls's and someday they will pull top dollar too, but only the good ones, the messed up ones become scrap metal or parts cars. It doesn't matter if you see an imperfection or not, if its there and the person looking knows the cars real well they will spot it, and so will the rust find it too.
People that do this sort of thing need to work at or go to a body shop class and see the hours and trouble to fix messes that can be made in seconds.

It's the internet and a car forum. If we did our cars to please everyone then none could be built because of certain people think cars should be kept how they like like them.
I learned many years and several old cars ago that my taste in a restoration my be repulsive to someone else even though I may think it's the best. So respect others work because no matter what is done at least someone got out there and did something and that keeps the hobby alive.

Hey KJG, don't listen do Dicer. He's grumpy lately! It looks like you're doing a great job with the 92 for your son. As long as you are treating that sweet LS with care and putting quality parts, DO AS YOU WISH! I don't have the patience for modifications, but bravo to those who do.
The most I have done is add extra interior lighting (wired with the dome light) and some polyurethane bushings.
MORE PICS PLEASE!
