Default 1992 LS400 factory camber adjustment

I see the bolt with the washer but wanted to ask is is as simple as loosening it up and turning it the bolt to adjust the rear camber? I need just a couple degrees for my new set up to clear.

Camber adjust bolt / washer is an eccentric and yes if you picked the correct one.

yes just loosen (not remove) from the nut, and spin the bolt to adjust camber. don't confuse the toe adjustment with camber adjustment, but you will have to adjust both anyway.

on my car, i just maximized the rear negative camber. this means the eccentric bolts push the lower arm outward as far as they can go.

Thanks, I found it and maxed it out. As usual I ran into a problem. One side cambers out more than the other, so I'm thinking maybe bushings could be a problem.

That's very common when the ride height is off a touch on both sides.

Also, you need an alignment as changing camber will change toe. You will likely need to compensate toe to see how much camber you're actually short.

true regarding toe. what i found is that when you run max negative camber, you can only correct toe so far until you max the stock adjustment. this is where an adjustable toe arm comes into play and become necessary if you want your toe back in spec.

I saw that you had to adjust both. I'm banning on a alignment cause we have to install new outer tie rod ends. I have to find a place to do it how I want it done though.

You will ruin your tires if you ride with the toe out of spec for too long. I found this out first hand.

Its not easy but you can self align. Having a caster camber tool helps.

I got the fender roller in the mail today. I've watched enough video on how to use the thing so I'm pretty comfortable with it.

Fender rolling did not help. We shaved some off and still get a little rubbing. We did the pull thing with books and it helped a little but we've come to the conclusion that the tire is too big so I ordered a pair of 255/40/18 and we will just sell the others. Live and learn.

Fender manipulation takes practice and having someone knowledgeable guide you is what you need, not the incorrectly sized tires.

I'm running a 255/45-18 front and 285/40-18 rear on my '99 right now. Mild pull on the front, rolled on the rears. Practice.

From what I was told is the body on your 99 is different than this 92. Talking with a shop here they said it could be a combination of the H&R springs being soft or worn struts too. They said we need to get a true alignment with max camber then look at it. The fronts have new struts but the rears are old. I'm a rookie on this board but have messed with cars for 25 years. I've read, talked to and watched enough to understand what is trying to be accomplished.
