240sx s13 1uzfe 93 swap
First I want to start by saying hi everyone I've been reading alot of helpful info on this website that lead me to what I'm hoping is a well informed desicions for a swap I purchased this 1993 1uzfe freshly gasketed 400 dollars from a friend of mine it will be going in my 91 s13 I'm looking at the engine loom and ecu is the plug that is not plugged in the part that interacts with the dash and inside cabin components?

Just an idea. I always use flat washers with the smoothest side towards the engine case, in between the engine and mount bosses on those engine stands. If not they will dig into the transmission / bell housing flange especially on an aluminum engine, I'm just fussy I guess.

I am glad to see that there are people out there that are willing to use the toyota V8's because there are TONS of potential out there. First place to search is the toyota truck forums since they have loads of info concerning the V8's especially if you plan to turbo or supercharge it.
trans may be a bit difficult though because there are very few transmissions out there to choose from since you would need the 1UZ tranny bell housing. Most people use the W58 but if you plan on drifting, it does not hold up well under the constant load. Just make sure you do your research.
I 100% approve of this build, I will however say a LS build is a little bit cheaper, easier, and parts are more accessible but im all of doing it differently.

The clutch being used is a brand new SPEC Clutch Stage 3 6 puck with a rating of 515 foot pounds
17 pound flywheel with a modified bolt pattern to accept this clutch kit from 1uzfeswapkit.com

I can get you the exact pinout when I get home in about 8 hrs from now, if someone doesn't post it before then. There are a couple different connector types for generation 1 ls400 for the ECU, could you post a more clear pic if you can?
I recently got my grubby claws on a '89 240sx as well. I've got the original motor in there (with blown head gasket), as well as a short shifter W58 that I picked up a few months ago. I've got a bunch of 6061T6 aluminum laying about, was planing on making a trans adapter(s) from that.
I'm still not 100% about going with the 1uz. So far its the front runner though. I'd like to compare notes though if you want.

If you anticipate working on your vehicle/engine extensively, I also HIGHLY recommend buying the OEM Electrical Wiring Diagram. They go for around $50 online.

Bump, because the search function is useless. I've got everything disconnected in my 89 s13. Any updates on this? What do you plan on doing about the front sway bar issue?
