Dude youre going to love the hell out of your car man i know i did when i first got it and still do almost 2 years later but lemme give you some advice (just in case) you dont know any better like i didnt when i first got my Ls. DON'T HOTROD IT. If you look at my thread you'll see I'm paying the price both figuratively and literally. While yes although these cars have a v8 and are rwd. The fact is that the small 4.0 V8 was simply put there for a bit of allure and for the ls to have just enough power for people to get around comfortably with out hearing a smaller engine whine from pull so much weight around.

Make sure and do some research on those Audi A8 wheels before you purchase them. They might not fit over those big brakes we have! Nice find on your LS!

Gorgeous color, I saved up too for mine and got mine for around the same miles as yours 2 years ago. Nice find and good luck with it! Don't forget about the timing belt service that comes up in a few thousand miles. Real fun service that one is.

This one is in great shape and low mileage. I've seen some 1994s on eBay for a few thousand but you can bet they probably have some mechanical issues.

Do you like working on cars? I don't particularly like working on my 94 LS400, it's frustrating cause I think they purposely designed engine compartment components in a way to make a person NOT want to work on 'em. I just love taking off half the plastic just to change spark plugs but alas that's how things are done these days. It's not as simple as cars made in the 60s and 70s. First car was a 65 Mustang Fastback and that thing was a breeze to work on, of course it broke down A LOT MORE than the Lexus, lol.

Hope you enjoy your ride, it's nice but I think you'll be cursing the black in FLA, get the windows tinted!

Nice car! If you maintain it well the car will last you through college no problem! When I was your age (1999) the first I bought was a Porsche 944 turbo. Kinda cool to see a young person so interested in luxury.

I agree, don't hot rod it. These cars were never built for performance other than what they had. From my limited ownership these cars are well built, smooth, quite and safe. Can be a pain in the rear with all the modules and sensors and such but that would be the case in most 20+ year old luxury cars. Enjoy it.

and ill echo what others have said here. that's a really well preserved example you have. these are getting harder and harder to find in good condition that haven't been hacked up and hooned. if you want to do a bunch of mods to an Ls400 find one that's been thrashed around that you can get cheap instead of this one that's in pristine condition.

it took me 6 months for me to find my current 95 LS. one that wasn't beat to death in original condition. I was thinking about modding mine too but I didn't. these are just too hard to find in good shape now. mine is bone stock..

however, I did buy a 94 LS not too long ago that's been thrashed, hooned and beat to death that still runs. that's the one ill slam and customize. congrats on your rare find. im in FL too btw.

After aquiring a bone stock '98, only thing I did was an alpine head unit with hands free / bluetooth, and tanabe springs with proper alignment... at 200k miles the OEM rear springs were sagging and even leaning to the left a bit and the stereo had some bad LCD segments. I kept the OEM stereo just in case but the springs had to go. Still drives like stock as long as you don't hit major dips too fast (bumpstops kick in). Thinking about doing shocks soon which should help with that... that'll be about it for mods.
