First Lexus
Hello all. I've been in the market for a used vehicle for the last 4 months or so. I researched cars getting the most mileage, and what do you know Lexus ls400 popped up, I read this forum a gazzilion times, 5 days ago I pulled the trigger on a 94 ls400. Passed on many nice ones, it was between a 2000 with 144k one owner, beat up from the pictures, the dealer wanted 6500 and after haggling they settled on 3800 out the door tags title all that. Instead of going to buy it I drove twice the distance to a real rural town to buy the one owner 94 I dragged the wife and kid out for me to test drive two days prior. 3750 with 125k on it, one old lady owner, mint inside still smells like a new car plus 21 years and lots of Avon. Bringing it to my mechanic in a week or so, I pray everything checks out and I could drive this for at least 5 years then upgrade to probably a 430. I'll tell you what, this drives way better than my 2015 fully loaded Ford escape. I'm hooked, Lexus from hear on out. I'll post pics tomorrow. I keep reading people with first generations saying they wish they had 98-00 ls400, I test drove all three generations, a 92, 95, 98, and now my 94 and they all feel good, but I read the first gen. Engines are unstoppable, I hope mine holds true to that. I saw a dude on youtube with a 96 with like 944k on it, it was called the million mile Lexus. I hope in time I could add to the usefulness of this forum but until then I will be needing your help in future assistance for any issues that may arise in the hopefully not near future. I will not be modding anything on this car that ain't broke by the way, classic as is. Thanks for you time and all your past present and future help.

Congrats. I just snagged a 1st owner 1998 @200k miles. Body is a bit rough but interior and mechanical is near 100%. Constant compliments whomever rides in it. I'm sure yours is even better . Enjoy.
PS check for power steering leaks and change your fluids! Those were the only issue I found and it was a relatively cheap DIY fix.
