What part of california do you live in gets to -40F?? ![Uhh...](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/1387914497.gif)
Just a reminder, Unless it's below freezing there's no point in using 0W-30 with your LS400![Smilie](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
The operating viscosity will be similar but there is potential for the increased viscosity at startup to cause more wear than the engineers of the car predicted, though this is not confirmed.
I've run 0W-30 GC and my UOA told me to thicken the oil up due to wear and decrease service interval from 10k to 8k. These I run 5-8k intervals with 5W-30 or 5W-40 synthetic blend, my blackstone results tend to come out quite nicely.
