Moon roof air deflector?
#5
Huge NO I don't ever want one. I was just wondering if it messes up the roof somehow. I've seen them on a few cars I may have been interested in. If they cause any abrasion to the paint or mess anything up body and paint wise I would pass on that car. About like those goofy chrome fender eye brows I bet they are no good on the paint, even if they do attach where the rubber or plastic fender opening trim is.

The '87 Maxima I bought for my son originally had one. Yes, it rubbed the crap out of the paint and attached with clips that secured under to the trim and body. It did help with wind noise but with the LS400 the wind noise is very minimal without.

I had one for awhile. Took it off when my sunroof started leaking. It didn't rub the paint but it left a slight imprint because of the dirt that collected around it. It was nice to have when you rolled back the roof and it cut down on the wind rushing into the car.
Held on with two side clips along the sunroof opening.

Sounds like it helps promote moon roof seal leakage of rain water. And if the clips are not coated with plastic then I'm sure they will also mess something up. At least they didn't drill holes to put them on.

The LS I just bought came with a Honda-branded one. Clips only. I wouldn't say it destroyed the paint but it will need some work to remove evidence that it was on there. It was pretty nasty up under when I took it off.
