Default replaced my two idlers and drive belt

my 99 rolled over 198k today and I was getting a little hum while driving, so I replaced my two idlers and the belt..

So, did the sound go away. And could you tell if the bearings were going bad?

I replaced the bearings in my idlers lol it was waaaaay cheaper.

I would see if I could pinpoint the hum with a stethoscope before changing any other parts......

My father's car had a slight hum as well, so we replaced the fan bracket as well as the idler pulley, tensioner pulley, and the alternator (the alternator failed, which allowed us to explore other components in need of repair).

The car is definitely quieter now, as the fan bearing had play in it. I think it may help you, but I can't confirm that, because I can't hear it myself. Good luck!
