Default motor mounts - replaced (kinda)

Had two of the motor mounts replaced over the weekend.

1 transmission, and 1 one of the motor mounts. Is the left side mount really difficult to replace? the rack and pinion is right in the way. It looks like you need to remove it to get to the mount. Anyone have any input?

For changes - smoother idle, smoother acceleration. That problem I have with the T/C dis-engaging or engaging whatever is much less noticeable. Still happens but it's less obvious, you don't feel it clunk so much.

man I need to replace mine, wish you would have taken some pictures and put together a tutorial

Was it easy? How did you keep the engine suspended? My brother and I thought about just using the tire jack and peice of wood. If you lifted it did you have to drop the oil pan? Was the trans mount difficult?

I didn't do the work myself. I think the guy who did it would want to remain anonymous

The trans. mount looked like the easiest to change. It took about 5-10 mins. You do need something to push the tranny and engine with.

When the right side engine mount was replaced he did NOT have to drop the oil pan. I'll tell ya that.
