Question ADDCO 2027 fit on 98-00???

As the title says can anyone confirm that an Addco 2027 rear swaybar works on a 98-00? I know it isn't listed to fit.

If not are does anyone make one that does fit?

The 98-00 stock bar is thicker. No reason why it will not fit with the proper bushings and end links installed.

may fit but won't give much of an increase over stock. the '98-00 are substantially thicker than '89-97.

No, nobody makes one for the '98-00 out of the box.

What are you trying to do that makes you believe you need a stiffer rear bar?

I have been reading the good results of people that have installed the bar. Looking to improve the handling of the car. Mainly the steering responsiveness and initial turn in. Yes I know that isn't what this car is about in stock form. A car I would like to benchmark is the Pontiac G8. I love the look of the LS, especially lowered and on beefy tires.

98-00 rear bars are ~20-21mm in diameter from my old and inaccurate measurements. My old notes have '95-97 rear bars at ~0.51in in diameter. Would be a very worthwhile, cheap, and OEM quality upgrade methinks. Been meaning to have someone with a '95-97 test this but nobody close to me has bit yet .

The sway bar is not something to reach your suspension goals by itself. A good set of coilovers and a proper alignment alone will go a long-way. Once you have those then you can consider adjusting front and rear roll stiffness.

Timmy is a good candidate. I didn't get around to doing this so I'd be curious what other 95-97 drivers comments would be.

not sure i am, since i am on air suspension? i suppose the driving characteristics should change enough for me to feel a difference so i am still willing to try. i already have a muffler delete (temporarily) so it should make installation easier. anyone got a bar/brackets for sale? are the endlinks the same for 95-97 models?

endlinks are near identical if not the same.

You'd likely notice an improvement, just not as much as someone on standard suspension.

You shouldnt be spending >$50-80 on a stock 98+ RSB, from a yard.
