Wow had me going on that one. When I read 200,000K miles,,,,, that K means 1000 you know.
So I read it as 200,000,000 miles. That would be a record high miles LS. Congrats on the 200k miles, now you need to go on a round the country road trip as you need to work on the next 200k. Let me know when you get in my area I'll treat ya on lunch.

Lexus Test Driver
atta boy billyd!
i can't wait to see how high mine will get to. from what i've read about this engine anything under 250,000 will be unacceptable. good news is at 135,000 now it runs absolutely beautifully so i'm in good hopes. damn thing runs better than just about any new car i've driven.
i hit part of a dead deer in the road the other night lol and it's gonna need a new front bumper. luckily all paid for by geico, but it's gonna be a $1700 repair. i had the option of a rental car so i asked for a manual corolla, but was immediately told there's no manuals (of course). then they just gave me an X5 lol, can't believe that. not gonna lie it goes pretty good, but it's also nowhere near as nice to use as the 17 year old lexus. more throttle pedal lag, worse visibility, less instantaneous torque, less comfrort... adjusting for inflation it's still like $20,000 less than an LS but it made me happy to see just how good of a job toyota did back then on this car.

Great job Billy... and forget the 'k' thing... I knew what you meant.
And besides the miles I know it looks close to brand new they way you take care of your cars.
Continue to enjoy the ride and keep up the posting.

And besides its not just because of the engine the cars make it to high miles and last, and there is maintenance to do on mostly the engine and the suspension. So I'd say the accolades should go to the transmission and rear end, as they last that mileage with just a few oil changes, they don't need timing belts, tune ups, pulleys and pulley bearings, water pumps and all that stuff that is needed by the engine to make high miles. The engine leaks at places like the valve covers some seals, and the transmission just keeps on going, until someone uses the wrong fluid then it starts complaining.
