Default Deck Plate Mod

I did a mod on my 92's air box by installing an 8in boat deck plate that can be removed anytime and turned back to stock.. I feel like its running stronger but it might be because of the cool SOUND it makes. has anyone done this mod? Does it help cuz i know theres a ram air system already, so it might be taking away from that. Butt dyno says its working just want to know others opinion

neat idea, and yes it is the same general effect of doing the jbrady intake mod, with the option of closing the hole when desired. you only think it's running stronger bc you are now pressing the accelerator harder to hear the sound .

I think your right. its probably just my imagination because of the neat sound it makes at full throttle.
