NEED 1994 US LS400 Wiring Diagram
I'm trying to figure out how the power system works for the lo/high beams and fogs so I can regain use of the highs and fogs after installing a HI/LO hid kit with the separate halogen bulb for the HI. I've already done the 1994 fog light relay mod and the fogs still wont come on even though the fog relay is clicking. I connected both ballast grounds to the chassis and left the vehicle headlight plug ground disconnected to prevent the high beam from engaging because when I hit the high switch before, the lights would flicker rapidly then one low beam would cut out. I've found the PDF of the headlight wiring diagram from another post although it seems to be the diagram from the Canadian model LS with the DRLs.
Input and help with links would be greatly appreciated!

these cars are ground switching systems meaning the ground is what gets switched on/off when you turn the switch stalk. you cannot ground the ballasts directly unless you have another relay system in line.
your HID hi/lo kit should have a separate relay system (or control box) in place to plug in the factory bulb plug, as well as direct battery and ground connections.
example where the control box only needs one direct connection from the factory bulb plug:

I'm running a hi low h4 kit by the name of OPT 7 from eBay. It's not a bi-xenon kit. It has an hid bulb with a separate small halogen bulb mounted on it for the high beam. About $60 total.

It was originally a 4k7 but I had it repainted with two different Toyota colors because the original 4k7 seemed too bland. It's a bronze amber on the top and a cognac mica on the cladding. Both pearls

that image was taken from google, from kensun. what kit are you running? if you have a true hi/lo kit, it should come with the appropriate relay control box.
does your HID bulb look similar to this?
the extra wires control the bulb angle, which changes for the high beam.

i've had my bulbs for almost 2 years now with the one issue being that one bulb stuck was on the high beam bc my friend who borrowed my car had the high beam on for a week! after it was unstuck (probably due to temperature), it functions just fine today.
i hardly use the high beam, but it's a good option to keep for flashing my intentions as i drive, and occasional dark roads. under normal conditions the "motor" is not used, only when the high beam is triggered. if you use your high beam often, consider other options.
