my megans arent blown per se but they seem to be bottoming out now...or at least thats what it sounds like..almost as if they dont have any damper(dampering..is that a word?) left.

They are probably getting to the point where they need to be replaced. Possible small oil leak as well.

i'm running on 3 years with my BC racing coilovers (on air bags though which see more suspension stroke than with tradition springs) and have not encountered a problem yet.

longevity all depends on many external factors, like road conditions, driving habits, and being properly installed/preloaded.

yea..installation might have been a big factor for my megans. would need some instructions if i get these so i can make sure its done correctly.

most coilovers are NOT meant to be installed right out of the box. most of them are set to the lowest length so they fit into the smallest box for easier shipment. you almost always have to lengthen them to your desired height. out of the box will leave you sitting on the pavement !

most of them are properly preloaded out of the box, but i set my own preload myself just to double check as i do spark plugs and the like.
