Just bought a '12 LS460, help me price my Cream Puff '97 LS400!
After considerable research and a 2 month search, I just picked up a mint 2012 LS460 Sport, so after 8 years I think it's time to part with my 166K mile LS400 Coach Edition. Less than 5K miles ago I installed new brakes (Toyota rotors and pads) and new Bridgestones literally 4 weeks ago. Car is well maintained and documented, runs great, everything works as it should. Interior is very clean, only wear is driver's seat bolster. Garage kept for most of it's life too, clear headlights and all.
I'm thinking it's worth $4000-$5000. Do you guys think that's a reasonable price for my cream puff?
Yes I know they're not Coach wheels, but the previous owner installed horrible chrome wheels so I ended up throwing on a set of 16" LS430 wheels. The spare is still a virgin mint Coach wheel.

Thanks guys. It's current on all maintenance, timing belt's not due until 180K (it was changed right at 90K).
What sucks for me is that I just spent $550 on new tires in April, $600+ for all new brakes, $600 for a power steering hose, and mailed in my $98 reg renewal last Thursday :-(
Someone will get a helluva car for $4,000, that's for sure.

I don't think too many Lexus' (Lexi?) are truly exciting to look at, are they?
While I think the LS460 has pleasant, modern lines and isn't *ugly* by any stretch, my primary buying criteria for a daily driver is ride comfort, quietness, and build quality.
I believe I have good looks, fast, and thrilling to drive already covered ;-)
