Just a minor bump.
I discovered some "new" old photos on the internet, including two shipments of Lexus LS and ES models photographed in the early 1990's. The photo with the Lexus dealership in the background was taken in 1991. These were likely in Illinois, since there is a Chuck's Truck Repair sign, which is located in McCook, IL.
Also attached are a few stock photos of the LS in Europe, as well as a Euro-spec LS 400 from a 1990 press photo.
How happy I'd be to drive one of those trucks all the way... Home.
