Crankshaft and cam seals
I have a 1990 ls 400 and I need to replace the crankshaft and cam seals. My question is how to keep the camshafts from moving when I remove the timing belt

Just removed pulleys to change camshaft seals. I purchased a camshaft pulley holder, then extended the handle of it by putting it inside a piece of my floor jack handle. This allowed me to hold the pulley by resting the extended handle on my shoulder and then using a breaker bar to break the bolt loose. I did this before removing the timing belt. Nothing moved on me and I was able to generate plenty of torque.
The right tools make it easy.
