Recently bought a 2001 Toyota Crown! Help!
Hey everyone first post as I'm new to the forum, thanks for the add.
I'm currently importing a 2001 Toyota Crown Athlete V with a 1jz gte vvti, and had some question regarding suspension coppmpatibility with the North american models. What platform does the crown follow for the North american lexus car? Ive heard es300 ls300 just confused, as I'm looking to purchase a set of coilovers, rear camber kit, front camber plates.. the car is destined for a track inspired RHD 400-500 Hp fun mobile. If anyone can direct me to a part of the forum or move the post it would be greatly appreciated thanks.
Delete if this is completely in the wrong area..
Thanks again <3

Welcome Toastado,
Unfortunately, I have no clue which platform the Crown is closer to, ES (Windom) or LS (Celsior). You may have to find a forum dedicated to Toyota Crown cars, where other owners have dealt with these questions.
As for modifying the drivetrain, the 1st and maybe 2nd gen ES, GS, IS, and SC forums may be more helpful, since the Lexus LS models were never equipped with JZ engines.

Given you have a RWD platform I'd probably scratch ES off the list. Body lines do look alot like a UCF21 as well, however the rear looks a bit short maybe more like a GS? Perhaps a GS/LS love child lol.

A 2001 Toyota Crown Athlete V with a 1JZ GTE vvti turbo engine has a spec of HP 280ps, Torque 38.5kgm.
A Athlete VX which is tuned by Yamaha has a 300ps engine and a special suspension called X-REAS.
A Toyota Crown is only made for a domestic market and there's no equivalent export models at all. Those who own the car in abroad may have a hard time finding correct parts. You need some skills to read Japanese language to maintain. You can find the catalogue and parts at below 3 but don't forget to add "http://" at the top.
