Anyone ever tried to install it? Is it possible to swap a sunshade and do the necessary wiring?

In doing a little research, I see that in 98 on models, the Homelink is built into the map light assembly, which seems to protrude from the headliner, as opposed to the previous years, which were flush with the headliner.

I wonder if the whole map light assemblies attach in similar ways.

I wonder if the whole of the assembly is in that module and if it just needs powered up.

I wonder if the wire plugs are the same.

I saw the whole map light, with homelink, assembly on Ebay for under $30.00.

Ive always wondered if I can add smart access door handles, blind spot monitors, and a pushbutton start to my 95. im sure it can be done. but $$$$$$$$$$$
