i once got this, easy fix is to just unplug the sensor, but if you wanna be legit you most likely will have to just replace it

The most simple way is to whack the top of the washer tank. A vibration to the sensor can often reset the sensor.

And if it is the sensor (my guess), and you don't feel like repairing (may just need some cleaning?) or replacing it, but just want the warning light gone, you may be able to bypass the sensor, probably by either shorting or making an open circuit (leave the sensor in place, but modify the wiring). A warning light for low washer fluid is not exactly mission critical.

the issue is not with the sensor but with the foam float that attaches to the sensor shaft. With time this absorbs some of the fluid and sinks to the "low" position.
If all you care about is turning the light off you can unplug the sensor (not too terrible to get to), and the error message will go away. You will however, need to monitor the washer bottle fluid level yourself.
If you wish, you can try replacing the sensor itself, part number for '98-00 USDM cars is 85397-50120, approximately $65-75.

Had the same problem. Pulled out the sensor and cleaned the gunk out of the float chamber and light is now off. Not too bad to get to: Remove around 8 (10mm) bolts from small bottom cover below reservoir. Pull inner fender guard away from fender a few inches and the sensor it right there on bottom of reservoir with the 2 wire clip. The sensor pulls right out after peeling edge of grommet back a bit by sliding a flat screwdriver underneath. Unplug 2 wire clip. Was about the order a new one but remembered a member talking about flushing the thing out...saved $85. Paying it forward... good luck
