Pulled off 3 mounts in a local junk yard, and including my own I'm 4 for 4 on mounts that fell apart in my hand just as yours did. If you haven't already changed your tranny mount on your early 90's LS, I can almost guarantee its fried.

Amen! A OEM Toyota tranny mount was like $35. If I had anything less than a 2000 , I'd change it. It's so so easy to change the tranny mount. You won't need any instructions. I promise!
