Default 89730-50060 Toyota Theft Warning Box

89730-50060 Toyota Theft Warning Box Has anybody dealt with one of these? I've been fighting some dead circuits on my 93 LS, and I found one of these behind the LH Interior fuse block. It clicks when the power door lock button is pressed but the door locks don't open. I sourced a used one off of eBay and will try it next week. I'm curious if anybody here knows what circuits it controls, and what happens when it is triggered. Also curious if it has to be re-synched to the key. Any help greatly appreciated

Unless things changed in 93, there is no syncing anything electronic wise in a gen 1. That all started with the CAN systems.
Circuits it controls? It is connected to all the door switches so if they are opened when its armed it will sound a siren and then isolate the starter solenoid circuit so the engine can't be started. It doesn't have anything to do with much else circuit wise that I know of. The sound system has its own protection that is if you set the password, which on an old car would be stupid, I'm just glad I have not run into one with a password yet, because just simply disconnecting the battery will lock you out of your radio if you don't have the password. And it can be anywhere from free to 100 bucks to have Lexus reset it.
So what other problems ?

dicer-

If you go to my post ten below this one you'll see- "120A Fuse replaced still dead" I replaced the fuse block and 120A main fuse under the hood after I lost all the related circuits it covers. Even after I was done, they still did not function. Power windows, transmission interlock, moonroof, HVAC and gauges are inop. I can get hazards, dome and horn only in the cabin, and this clunk at the theft box when I cycle the door lock button.

All I have is info for 92 I'll check maybe they are similar in some respects. You could use Yamae's help on this one he is the LS electrical man. Maybe he will search out his name and post here.

Maybe we can summon him with a private message. He and LS Cowboy were very helpful here over the years, you are right.
