Talking New to me 95 LS400

Just picked up a 95 LS400 with 157k miles on it. Not bad for 500 bucks! Love the car so far and looking forward to using the forum to work out a few gremlins but all in all it is a great car. Planning on driving this one until the wheels fall off.

Nice find! Chrome wheels and paint all look good for its age. I doubt you'll reach the point where the wheels fall off, with these cars.

Hi there. You and me both may die of old age trying to wear out the Lexus.
Previous owner of my 1995 LS400 did after 20 years of ownership.
Rust may take mine in a decade or two (Sweden) .
I do not like much fixing with car body or paintwork.

That car and California weather... may take you a while to wear it out.
Congrats on the find and purchase and welcome to the club. Better late than never, as they say.

looks pretty damn good for $500! it runs and drives fine?? im going to assume the interior is absolutely horrendous... how many miles, what options, and does everything work? if so you got a killer deal.

and yes you can drive these cars to death. you don't even have to take care of them and they will still run 100k+ miles

Thanks guys! It sat for 6-8 months but fired right up after installing a new battery. Interior was filthy, few cracks on the seats but for a 22yo car I cant complain. Main issue is no reverse or neutral but drives forward without hesitation, stands still in reverse and pulls forward in neutral but forward shifts are very smooth. Climate control display will need to be replaced and the radio works but with no display. Overall pretty happy, always wanted an LS. Just want to get the trans issues resolved ASAP.

No wonder the price was cheap. Hope you can figure it out without too big of an investment.
