Timing belt confusion.... help!

Sounds like a fuel delivery problem. Check your ground at the AC compressor and ensure all of your connectors are plugged back in. I bet it's something simple. How did it sound at idle?

Sounded okay at idle. Ground at the AC compressor - do you mean the really really tiny one? Looks good.

Ran perfect. Put 30,000 miles on it in the past 15 months.

You will miss it? What does that mean? Like I said, I think you issue is a relatively small one.

What part of FL are you in anyway?

Treasure Coast - Vero Beach, specifically.

I'm not sure if it's a small issue or not. I hope it is, but at this point, it's been down for 3 weeks. It's a bit frustrating. lol

Okay, I'm in Ocala. Did it seem to starve for fuel when it was idling the first time? Side you're not new to engines in general did it seem to have a fuel or spark problem? Are you pretty confident the timing is on from how it sounded?

I was pretty confident in the timing, but now I'm not so sure. The passenger side cam (left, when standing in front of the car and looking at it) seems to be a little advanced past the mark on the back plate, where the other side is dead on when I bar the engine over with the 1/2 ratchet.

It's smooth enough, even with plugs in and all, to turn over without a cheater bar. I'm concerned that somehow the one cam has moved and I may have bent the valves in the passenger side head - but I can't hear anything that sounds like PTV contact.

The timing must be confirmed before looking at anything else. It must be perfect.
