Default Keeping display info toggle switches w/ aftermarket steering wheel

This question is for a '98 base model.

Does anyone know if there is another way to toggle between different information on the gauge cluster showing miles remaining, elapsed time, etc., instead of using the factory switches? Or if there is a way to keep the buttons somehow when replacing the wheel.

I plan on replacing the steering wheel with a nardi, and I don't care about keeping cruise control, but thought it would be nice to keep the capability to toggle between the different information on the cluster.

where there is a will, there is a way! I have never done it but it doesn't mean it isn't impossible. Nardi does make a cruise control horn button so I would imagine it takes the same inputs from the factory switch and attaches it to the aftermarket buttons. This means you will need to keep the clock spring as part of the steering column, and doing so will necessitate the proper steering wheel hub. there are only so many hubs that can retain the factory clock spring (if any at all). HKB comes to mind. momo and NRG may or may not work here. unfortunately there is no LS400 specific hub, where usually a supra hub is used. supras do not to have the cluster toggle switch so using one is a dead end. you may be looking at a custom hub to retain the clock spring which has all the wiring (horn, cruise, airbag, cluster toggle).
