Ls400 1995 Not moving under throttle
Hi Guys,
Have an LS400 1995 that was running great. Had 150k Miles on it. While driving on highway at 80 miles, noticed a sudden jerk. Pulled over and checked that there were no physical damages. I turn on the car and put it to 3D, the car wont move even at 6000 rpm. None of the drive modes work. ECT light keeps blinking. Turned off the car and started it again. Its back to normal. Just 5 min away from home and i feel the same jerk midway and the car refuses to move. Had to do the stop start drama and managed to reach home somehow.
I try it again the next day and the car wont budge. Opened up the hood and i hear an unusual fluttering noise while the engine is running which i never heard before. The line towards the reservoir is very hot to touch even if i have the car on for 5 min. Don't know if this makes any sense
Cleaned the air filter thoroughly, checked the engine and transmission oil levels- All good. I have the check engine light on since the day I bought the car, around 5 yrs ago. But didn't have any issues.
Do you think that the transmission has given up?
I hate to let her go.
Appreciate your help and suggestions.

Haven't retrieved the code guys. Will do it once I am able to get it to a garage.
Is there anything that can be done on the electricals so I can drive the car to a garage?

Sure change all the timing signal sensors, change the igniters, change all the ignition related components, change the ecu, if all that doesn't help change the complete wiring harness, all battery related wiring, fusible links etc. And maybe the ignition switch too. If the 95 has a bus type system then maybe all the other ecu's in the system as well. Hope all that parts changing gets it going.
