These are what mine look like...pretty much did the same thing you did, sounds just right to me.

My tips are 3.5" dual tips made by Vibrant.

Had a listen ti the clip , sounds tough, the 1UZ is a great sounding engine. Any tips on the best set up for a tough noise on my GS460?

What kind of tips are those? Those are nice! I want something that will give it more of a roar but still quiet at low rpm.

tips don't really play into sound too much...

tubing diameter, material, configuration, and muffler selection play a far larger role than tip size. Go peruse the exhaust design thread to learn more.

the tips are from ebay, made for a dodge challenger supposedly.

my exhaust system is simple, just the rear mufflers removed. these tips project the sound outwards whereas i had turn down dumps before. it was more boomy before. Havent driven on road yet, but i expect it still to drone around 45 mph. I like the sound though. There is no rasp to it.

I did enjoy my rear muffler delete but I thought it was too quiet (dumped down at the differential). yours seems louder just by extending it to the rear and outward!

yeah it'll drone at 1600-1800 RPM depending on throttle application and about 40-50mph, but after 50mph it's pretty quiet. On the highway, it's unnoticeable.

works been keeping me busy so not making too much headway, have the camber and ride height all set, just need to touch up the front toe. enough to where i can drive it to an alignment shop for them to make sure it doesn't dog track and steering wheel is straight.
still havent cut and buffed the tails but I like the look.

Looks really good. Sounds good too. I think I'm going to have to shoot on over to the exhaust thread at some point.

did you black out the chrome trim around the car too or just missing until you paint the bumper? I love it!
