Default Shop said rear upper control arms need replacing.

So I bought my 94 LS from an older couple who had a lot of work done on it, and they brought it to a shop who said that the rear upper control arms need to be replaced. I am wondering if that is really necessary as I haven't seen any forums that discuss replacing these? Also, I can't find these rear upper control arms anywhere, except from the dealer or online OEM for $370 a piece. Not really sure what symptoms I would get from bad upper control arms in the rear? Has anyone any knowledge of these parts and whether or not its necessary to replace them?

Thanks all,
-Weston

You might be able to just replace the bushings, instead of the whole thing.
I belive I saw them on Amazon.

I think I found the one your talking about here:
Amazon Amazon
I might invest in these, just need to find something to get out the old bushings.

the shop probably saw a bad bushing or leaking ball joint from the arm. I would only replace the bushings if it were me, using ADUS parts. be warned they aren't as soft as OE so you will lose the plush ride the car is known for.

link to ADUS part number.
