JDM tail lights, first gen
Guys, ive been having too much trouble trying to get JDM style tails on my LS>
First, I ordered them from Intense Motorsports, i-m-racing.com, and then they call me and tell them they dont carry them anymore, then proceed to remove the item from their site right after calling me. Then I email them and they never respond. So, i find totally clear ones on ebay and buy them, I use some japanese imported red tail lamp paint, and it dosnt look horrible, but it didnt turn out right, and the recommended one bottle did even put one coat on all of them, so i intended to get a second bottle, but then the carwash I use decided to change chemicals in their pre-soak, added a solvent, and that faded out all the paint before I got a chance to recoat and then put clearcoat on them. So now they look horrible. I want to find JDM style tail lamps, buy them straight up, no more painting bull... Im going to use a solvent and remove the rest of the red paint and resell the clear tails, if anyone is interested in the clears, or has information about where I can get JDMs, please help. thanks again everyone for all the help in the past.

Yes and No -
Those tailalights are stock from 1989-1993 in Japan and from 1990-1994 in the US.
From 1994-1998 / 1995-1998 they have bee the same style but shorter. NEVER clear and red or all clear. Those red/clear ones like these are aftermarket, proably made in Japan, but never factory set.
