Question Strange throttle behaviour

Hello everyone, hoping to get some ideas my 2000 Celsior is acting strange most of the time it feels fine but in certain situations when I accelerate at maybe 1/2 throttle the engine will pulsate and not want to rev smoothly until it reaches around 2k rpm where it will go back to a normal sounding and feeling acceleration. It happens most when already up to a city speed like 60-70km/h and I go to accelerate to pass, though if I throttle past half way it seems to be fine. My best guess is a fuel pump issue but I'm not great at diagnosing issues so is there anything I can do to test it?

Thanks in advance.

The best bet is a top notch 2 way scan tool. No reason to guess at the electricals on a car that has OBD2 and CAN system, guessing just won't work.
Also I think it is a drive by wire throttle system, just complicates the guess work.
