Default I don't know if I like this. Opinions please.

I decided to paint one of my wheels a Mercedes-Benz pewter color. Part of me likes it and the other part of me dislikes it. Should I keep this color or should I just paint all of them silver to match the Shallen center cap? I honestly don't know what to do. Thanks in advance for your opinions.

They previously had a pvd coating that I can't match.

It doesn't look bad but personally I would do more of a bronze or just silver.

I have a black car and I'm trying to decide if I want to paint the OEM rims flat black or gunmetal gray or something. You think that would look okay? I had the look on a previous car and I loved it but I can't picture it on the LS. I'm just gonna do silver if people think it's a bad idea.

I like the paint but I agree with Rokas, maybe a more neutral silver would look nicer unless you could color match them to your body, otherwise I think the colors are too close.

Yeah, I agree with you guys. I think I'm going to paint them silver like the center cap. This isn't the look I was trying to achieve. Back to the drawing board :-D

I think contrast is important.

That looks horrible and you've clearly ruined these. Instead of throwing them away, just ship them to me. I'll pay you for that. And then I'll see if we can get these things back to original luster. I probably can't, so I'll just have to run them. But at least you won't have to look at them any more.

Hilarious!!! I'll be painting them a metallic silver this week. That's why I only painted one. I wanted to get an idea if what they'd look like. I even thought about just sanding them and clearing over them with a matte clear. They could be my Frankenstein Wheels!!! Lol.

I actually like them. Especially with your color car. And it's not a common color either. I think it looks better than the silver.

I vote for color matching to the car's paint color.

Yours look exactly like my 97 & I like it. If I were you, I would leave it alone & enjoy it.
