I think you will have to go into a little more detail to get a response. Not much info to go by.

how do you know you do not have the original ECU that came in the car? to state the obvious you will need to find the appropriate ECU.

Does your car has traction control?

If you are in the United States you are in luck, LSCowboy rebuilds ECU's for our Lexus cars, he is very efficient and very courteous, always looking to help. He and Yamae are the reigning authorities when it comes to ECU issues. LSCowboy has a facebook business page, you should ask him there, I just sent my ECU out to him a few weeks ago, got it back within 3 days, and yes I did notice an improvement with my car.

ECU is one of the first things to replace in the car. Took care of a multitude of things with mine. good luck.

Yes. I was having a few different issues.

1. Would stall when coming to a stop. Ransdomly. Sometimes it would be fine for days and then every time.
2. RPM was running high/then low at start up
3. Car would 'buck' when accelerating sometimes
4. Throwing CEL codes

Replaced the ECU and it was truly night and day.

Here is my thread on replacement.

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...y-journey.html

I now have almost 200k miles and the only other major repair was an alternator and I replaced the battery at the same time.
