Default LS430 wheels on 98+ LS400?

I'll probably move this to the wheels forum, but thought I'd start here...

Has anyone put LS430 wheels on prior generation LS's (specifically 98+)?

I really like the wheels on the LS pictured below and wondered if there are any fittment issues with brakes, etc.

Clearance for the brake should be fine, because the 01+LS430 got bigger brake than the 98+.

They look awesome......I have done this and will post my 2000 LS400 with the 2002 LS430 rims as soon as I get back home. I took my car to the dealership last week for some scheduled maintenance and had a parade of techs come into the lounge wanting to know who owned the LS400 with the LS430 rims..... it was the first that they have seen, and mentioned its a very classy look.....

No mods needed except one thing.....you do need to buy a full set of lugs since the LS400 are open in the back and the LS430's are closed. (Lugs are not cheap for the set think about $6-7 bucks per lug)

Cool, really looking forward to seeing those pics. Where did you find the rims? If you got them from the dealer, how much $$ if you don't mind my asking?

BTW, I put a post in the photoshop forum to see how they'd look...

The SC430 swap will only work for the 90-94 LS400's for some reason.

4theboys can you please posts some pics of your LS, I am curious on what they will look like on the LS400.

Probably with a few modifications, but I think that it's a whole new set-up. Wow, talk about bringing back dead threads LOL...but that's why they are there.

Glad that you searched first, before starting a new thread.

put some better pads in there. ul feel the difference immediately.

EBC greenstuff or Hawk HPS are good choices.
