Driver door window and actuator
Hi,I'm having some driver door window problems on my '95 LS400.And I'm hoping someone can tell me the correct glue to use to reinstall the window.I found another actuator and the body man said I needed the correct glue that the factory used when they installed the windows in the actuators. He had to wire the window and actuator in the up position temporarily to keep the window up until fixed. Can anyone help with the right glue Lexus uses?I have several other serious problems with the '95 but that would be for another topic on another thread. It's bad enough that I'm seriously thinking of selling it after driving it for 19 1/2 years.Losing oil and power steering fluid, thanks to a crooked repair shop.I have about 217K miles on it.
It's not worth the amount of $ it would take to fix it.The front seal has a leak along with the power steering fluid. And possibly the new rebuilt rack that was just put in the other day. Thanks in advance for any help someone can give.Al

To be honest, any appropriate adhesive will do the job. Im sure many people here will suggest you use the same as the factory, but for something as common as a glue, well there are countless adequate alternatives. Don't stress, just find something that's is rated to do the same job on any other vehicle or implementation. A marine grade, waterproof adhesive would work. Go to a glass shop over a auto parts store or dealer. They will be very capable of helping and have more experience. You might get lucky and get some opened adhesive leftover
